The General Ibrahim Attahiru Foundation (GIAF) is an independent and non-partisan foundation named after the late Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Nigeria, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru (LGIA), who passed away on the 21st of May 2021, while on active duty in the service of Nigeria.
The Foundation is set up to ensure the perpetuation of the ideals and qualities he embodied both as a military service leader and in his personal life as a man of integrity, generosity, kindness of heart, as expressed in the various ways he helped fellow Nigerians.

MR DIDI NDIOMU

– BOARD CHAIRMAN

Mr Didi Ndiomu is a serial Entrepreneur and Philanthropist. He is the son of the late General Charles Ndiomu and current Chairman of Nigerian Machine Tools Limited, a company that manufactures and distributes engineering machines and spare parts. He is also the Chairman of Deep Offshore Ltd whose main line of business is to develop, own, lease and manage large industrial class facilities, jetties and port, infrastructure for the Oil & Gas Industry in Nigeria. It also acts as handlers and suppliers of industrial materials, advisory services and a provider of day-to-day logistic support for companies in the Onne Oil & Gas Free Zone, Rivers State.

Mr Ndiomu is the Chief Executive Officer, Badagry Port Development Ltd as well as the Chairman of a private firm, Quinn McGrath Limited which recently acquired 1000 hectares of land at Malete in Moro Local Government Area of the state and another 900 hectares of land in Kwara State for animal husbandry.
He was a member of the Bayelsa Business Council (BBC), a-22member Think-Tank inaugurated in 2007 by then Bayelsa state governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson, to formulate policies aimed at attracting local and foreign investors to the state and as well shore up the revenue base of the state.

HON. USMAN SHEHU BAWA

Honorable Usman Shehu Bawa popularly known as Shehu ABG, is a Nigerian politician and Entrepreneur who was a member of the House of Representatives representing Kaduna North constituency. Bawa was born in Nigeria’s northern city of Kaduna. He is the son of Alhaji Bawa Garba, the founder of Nigeria’s ABG Group. He started his primary education at the Kaduna Polytechnic staff school. He was later transferred to Kaduna Capital School, where he completed his early education. He began his secondary education at Sardauna Memorial College then later on transferred to Essence International School, completing his secondary education in 1993. In 1999, Bawa completed a bachelor’s degree in geography at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria.

He started his early professional career working in his father’s communication’s firm, ABG Communications. Later, he started a number of firms including GSM.COM Limited and Top desk International Limited. While GSM.COM Limited sought to exploit opportunities in the newly deregulated telecommunications industry in 2001, Top Desk International Limited set out as a business consultancy and procurement firm. Bawa later on took a job as general manager of an agricultural firm – Agric Supermarket Limited, a business in which he was a co-founder before delving into politics.


Bawa was appointed as Deputy Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Communications. The committee has oversight responsibility for the Federal Ministry of Communications Technology and its subsidiary agencies including the Nigerian Communications Commission and Nigerian Postal Service. During the time he was acting Chairman of the Communications Committee in 2011, Bawa chaired the subcommittee that was set up to investigate the SIM Card Registration exercise superintended by the NCC. Usman was also a member in some other committees including Diaspora, Navy Banking & Currency, Gas Resources, Electoral Matters, Health, Legislative Compliance, and Solid Minerals Development.
